Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone! How's your Christmas been? (I'll include by saying Hanukkah too lol)

My Christmas was nice and relaxing. And I'm very ready for bed lol

My mom loved the smoker (like for ham and chicken, etc) that dad got her, and the portable dvd player. Dad loves his Nintendo DS Lite. And yes it really is cool lol

I love my Chia pet. No I'm not being a smartass and saying my parents were cheap. You really don't understand. I've wanted a Chia Tree for FIVE years. I've loved Chias since I was little and my mom got me a kitty Chia lol I found the Chia Tree this year, begged for it, mom bought it (THE ONLY ONE). But I couldn't touch it until today. I acted like a five year old. I ripped it open, sank it into a bowl of water, put the seeds in a bowl of water and then was totally disappointed when I realized I had to wait a WHOLE 24 hours before I could put the seeds on. Helloooo bummer...

Okay anyway lol Mom loved the DVD of "The Snowman." She watched it on her brand new portable DVD player lol While sitting in front of the tv. And nearly had a cow when she found out I got her a bag of Macadamia nut caramel clusters lol I said "you'll have to exercise self control I know but you love those."

Dad was quite happy with the DVD "A Christmas Story." But has yet to watch it... Grr... Okay yeah I wanna see it too, and?! lol

Oh what else did I get besides a Chia pet? lol Well...

A gift certificate for the Minnesota Zephyr. A train. I had never heard of it but dad got some tickets and there ya go, me and mom got gift certificates for it. Of course my dad is coming lol They're good until Dec 30th of 2007 so... No idea when we're going. Probably in fall lol It's gorgeous in Stillwater in fall.

Three CD's I'd been craving, three books, two perfumes, one hand lotion which I have a really hard time finding, it's my favorite brand. A chocolate orange, tis tradition in my family. "Narnia: The Lion, the With and the Wardrobe" exended edition. My favorite book, so of course I had to have that lol And CK shimmer powder (smells great).

Oh and! I got three bookshelves! And I have no place to put them! Yay!

Okay, no yay. I'm sad, I don't know how to fit them into my room. My room's too small! I'll have to figure something out. Or just save them until we move or something.

OH OH!!! Christmas dinner! I didn't write about the family dinner!

Well, everything went great! Food was... yum. Just yum. Mom's twice baked potatoes disappeared just like I thought they would. My asparagus did well too, yay! Mom's lamb was apparently good, idk, I didn't eat any lol (I just can't eat a baby animal, sorry, I'm a tenderfoot.)

However... the red velvet cake my aunt made... was... disgusting lol It was flavorless sponge... a dry old sponge lol I ate one piece to be polite but quickly scarfed her cheesecake to get the flavor out of my mouth. It was just awful cake. It wasn't even cake, saying that insults cake. Mom said she'll make one for New Year's since that didn't satisfy her craving and "was NOT a red velvet cake" in her words lol

Everyone liked the tomatoes, funny since I wasn't crazy about them. Just were too bland in my opinion. The mushrooms were good. The parsnips weren't what we expected but they were yum.

After dinner we all exchanged gifts. My cousin Martha, every gift she got was a pig lol We were all laughing so hard. (Um, er, she collects pigs lol) I nearly died however when I remembered a keychain we got her. It's a flashlight. An LED flashlight. It oinks when the button is pushed and held down. She was just saying "what is it?" when she pushed the button, light facing her, about six inches from her face and she let out a shriek, blinding herself with the pig lol It was perfectly timed with the first 'F' in 'it's a flashlight' was leaving my lips lol

My cousin Matt wasn't there, he was one of the people stuck in Denver. He was on the road though, driving here, with three of his buddies from his school. And so of course his girlfriend wasn't here. Thank god. I really can't stand his girlfriend, she is the biggest airhead I've met in many many many years. You ask her a question and she giggles. That's it. She's like a forgeign girl trying to pretend she understands what you just said to her. Her social skills are nonexistant.

Lisa was the only one to make me uncomfortable. She's the kind of person that makes you feel stupid, even when you're right and she's wrong. You could say "two plus two is four" she'd say "no it's five" and make you feel stupid for not saying it was five too. My honest opinion is she's Euro-trash, just born in the wrong place. She has this attitude that I've only encountered with certain kinds of people from Europe. (Example, I had a guy from London insist to me one time that he knew more about my country than he did. And he'd never been here... riiiight...)

Josh is my cousin Martha's best friend, awesome kid. He's brought all of Martha's charm and sparkle back. He's so good for her. I'm happy they're so close.

My grandma was in an AMAZING mood. I really couldn't believe it. We actually talked about Will and his family without getting into any sort of fight or argument! THAT IS A FIRST FOLKS!!!!!

My aunt and uncle were also in fun giddy happy moods. They were lots of fun to talk to and be around. But I never have a problem being around them really. Not anymore.

Aaron, Lisa's boyfriend, had work so he couldn't come either.

And Biscuit was SUCH a good boy! He didn't bark at all except when grandma got here because he just adores her and has to lick all over her and bring her his babies lol (Baby or babies is in referrence to stuffed squeaky toys lol We call them babies lol)

Anyway, I'm happy, content, and can finally relax. The world is good again.

God gave me life today.

My family is peaceful.

The man I love most loves me still.

The cat and dog even laid near each other on the floor without getting into a fight.

It really is Christmas.

Well, overall, it sounded like a pretty successful Christmas Day to me. (next time your Mom serves lamb, invite me over for your portion, will ya?)
I laughed at your descriptions of the couple of folks that were not your favorites (lol, Euro-trash), just maybe uninvite them next year, huh?

And umm, 2+2 does = 5
