Ugh.
I'm 19 years old and I have strep throat. For the first time.
Can you say "wtf?"
HOW did I get strep??? No one I know has had strep in YEARS.
I went bowling that's it. I went bowling and I put my hand on balls that many other people had touched.
I wonder if that's what Pam Anderson said about Tommy Lee... and visa versa... Er... off track...
Anyway. I picked it up somewhere. Swallowing hurts like hell. One side of my throat is bright red and swollen. I have an icky and growing white spot in the middle of that too.
Damn.
No fever yet, no upset stomach, no other typical symptoms but I usually catch me getting sick pretty fast. Soon as I start feeling off I make a list of symptoms and then I get the "oh yeah" moment when I realize what I've got. Oh and I am a little achy.
I have yet to be wrong. If I had a better stomach and was better at math I should be in a medical field, really. But I have no taste for it.
Anyway when mom gets home tonight she's going to take a look down my throat. I know I have strep or something related to it. I have zero doubt.
If mom thinks I have strep too I'll be making a trip to the doctor tomorrow morning, emergency center. At least I feel good besides that.
Oh and totally off topic, but does anyone know how to kill this certain type of spider I have? I've got these miniature roses and they are covered in these tiny tiny white spiders. I've tried this one insecticidal soap but it hasn't worked, and it's hurting my roses. Any clues anyone? I'll try anything, I love my roses.

Ewwww! So sorry you're sick, hon. It does sound like Strep to me, too. I'm surprised by the no fever issue, but that probably jumped on board over night. Are you feeling better yet? De ;)

Aww, just what you needed: spiders and strep. And useless me, can't help with either. I will say, "hope you feel better soon" though. That ok?

Sadly the spiders are beyond my aid..I don't suppose you've tried google?
As for the strep, yeah, that's it, and man I'm sorry. Hang in there. The one good thing about it is if you get a high enough temperature you can halucinate! :) WOOO!
I hope you're feeling LOTS better. As for the spiders...have you tried mixing up a little dish detergent with water and spraying them? Most insects (I know spiders aren't insects) really hate that, and I've found it effective, and it's cheap and worth a try...
