I don't know how many people have read the book, if any I know. It's called "Speak". What it's about is a girl just entering high school. A reject. A rape victim. The reason I bought that book is because someone very dear to me was raped. Long before I was born but it still is with her as though it was just last week. I suppose I want to understand it more. I want to know the best I can.

Yesterday mom and I went to rent movies and I saw that "Speak" had been turned into an independent film. I had to rent it. It's one of the most beautiful books I've ever read. Maybe because I could feel every single thing that happened. The movie was just as good as the novel. I didn't think that would happen. I rarely like the movies based on novels. This one was as close to the book as I can remember being done.

It's a story I think a lot of people NEED to hear. Need to understand. Wanted to put it out there that this book and movie are wonderful.
