Computer scare....

Well, that was fun. I supposed Manny needed to give me a good scare. Manny is the computer. The only computer I have online access with. The one here at my parents business. (FYI: fireplace, stoves, grills, ect.) And yesterday I had a bad scare.

Apparently (this is what I am supposing anyway) I had Manny on too long. I don't think he had been turned off all week. But He had had enough.

Yes I named the computer. Get over it! At least I didn't name him Hal....

So I'm on playing Spider like I do when I'm bored. And then it happens. A window pops up saying a problem has occurred blah blah blah... I've seen this before I know it's nothing to get worried over. Then (I had AOL running) another window pops up saying a problem has occurred with the disc AOL is stored on. I have to reinstall. Okay this is new.... Then another window pops up. (I'm starting to "sweat.")What's going on here? And another... Oh, this is bad... very bad.....

So ,snapping to the fact I might have a hacker or a virus on my hands, I shut down all the programs and turn Manny off. I'm sitting there, staring at this blank screen and thinking one thing.... Dad is going to kill me.... I hope I'm wrong, it's not a virus, surely it's not....:::sound of nails being bitten:::

I left the computer off. Told Dad. Suprisingly I'm alive. And suprisingly not banned from the computer. Why you ask? How could I be so lucky? Simple. The computer's fine. Manny threw a fit. I have no idea what happened. All I know is the computer's fine. No missing files, no "new" files, no damage.

So anyway...

I got some new books this week. Continued one of the series I'm reading, and bought The Once and Future King, by T. H. White. I've never read it. My mom grabbed it and shoved it into my arms. So I guess I'm reading that. Is it considered strange if you can read a 251 page book in three days? Just wondering if I'm alone here....

Q of the Day

What was your first pet?

I had goldfish....
