Terrorism

They're talking about the attack on Spain again. It happened yesterday. They started talking about the sercurity of America. I didn't like hearing them talk about it. Even if they basically turned the whole country into a "open jail" as one man put it, we would never be entirely safe. We weren't safe before the attacks, and were aren't safe now.

If I didn't believe in God, and that everything happens for the greater good, I would be going crazy with fear. But I'm not afraid. "Your days are numbered, sayeth the Lord." I think that's right.... When I am going to die, it won't matter where I am, what I'm doing, or who I'm with. I will die, by any means. I can except that. But so many people can't. Maybe they're afriad of death, maybe they have no faith but in their lack of faith. Maybe they simply do not see God. Maybe they just don't live with Him, hold Him, love Him. Maybe they aren't one with God, in mutual love. I don't know. It bothers me to hear so many people so afriad of the enevitable.

"But in this world nothing can be said to be certain, but death and taxes." --Benjamin Franklin, in a letter to Jean Baptiste Le Roy (1789)

"Wish not so much to live long as to live well." Benjamin Franklin, Poor Richard's Almanack (1738)
