First off this song is great lol: Cascada
Events
1) What was the earliest world event that you remember? What were you doing when it happened, and how did it make you feel?
Hmm... Biggest thing I can remember from when I was little is the Oklahoma City bombing. My grandma worked in the building. She had that day off, though, we didn't know it. It was a long scary wait trying to get in touch with my grandpa. Remember, cell phones weren't such a common thing back then so it was a lot harder. A lot of people she loved died.
2) What world event has had the biggest impact on you?
9/11, war, all of that... It's marked my generation I think. I've definitely not gotten over waking up to that on the TV. I don't think I ever will.
3) What global event/series of events/advances changed your world view more than anything else?
::SIGH:: Wow... 9/11, our presidents, cell phones, internet, advances in treating diseases especially cancer and diabetes, two diseases I've had very personal experience with... The greed of oil companies and pharmaceutical industry.
4) What personal event changed your life more than anything else?
Well let's see... Having asthma, growing up on a carnival, attempted suicide, struggling with my weight, having men grab at me and offer to "buy" me when I was a little girl, my cousin drowning, my grandpa dying of cancer with me there, moving to MN and leaving the carnival, the only life I knew, my mother being diagnosed with diabetes and neuropathy and me having to drop out of school to take care of her, becoming a Christian, losing my grandma suddenly because of a doctor's mistake, meeting Will and getting my first kiss, planning a life with him... You tell me how I pick.
5) Now's the time to exercise your crystal ball: What events/changes do you think you'll live to see occur?
Well... I think we're pretty damn close to another world war. The world has lost it's sense of humor, we've got a bunch of crazies out there all of them ready to kill, and more people with nuclear power... I think it's gonna get a hell of a lot worse before it gets better.
Celebrity (Your definition of this word is your own. Media, politics, sports, whatever, it's all up to you.)
1) Name one celebrity who you didn't come to appreciate until after his/her death.
Johnny Cash... I heard the song "Hurt" right after he died and I have become a Johnny Cash lover.
2) What celebrity death has had more of an impact on you than any other? Why?
Hmm... Reagan. Probably because of how it brought stem cell research to the forefront. And of course because he was our President.
3) What is your best celebrity meeting/interaction story?
Used to know a country band before they became big. Of course I was too little to remember this but my mom remembers them. Hell, I can't even think of the name of the band lol But I do remember how nice they were to me when I was little. The only celebrity I ever really knew... Never really ran into anyone.
4) What's your worst/most disastrous one?
Don't have any lol
5) What celebrity do you admire and respect more than any other? This doesn't mean who you crush on (though if you do, fine) but someone who you admire for his/her work/politics/life.
lol Um... No one lol Okay I do admire all the humanitarian work Angelina Jolie has done but that's all I can think of really. There are a handful I like just because they're good people. Most of them aren't big stars because lets face it, the bigger they are, the more ego they have.
Food
1) What single food do you refuse to eat? What one makes you think it would be more pleasant to have your eyeballs roasted over a slow fire than to have to eat it?
Lamb or veal. I just won't. I will not eat a baby animal damn it lol I would just cry the whole time, I'm too freakin' soft lol And I really don't think roasting my eyeballs is more pleasant than any food lol
2) What was the best meal you ever ate? Be graphic, you know how we love to suffer.
Um... Okay, I really don't have any "my god that meal was so delicious" stories lol So I'll go for sticky sweet and say the first meal I ate with Will. Just sitting next to him and talking. Just being able to look at him and be with him. Didn't matter that I was actually sick to my stomach from the flying and everything, I was with someone I love more than anything. Plus it was the first time he was really affectionate.
3) What was the most expensive one you ever ate?
Valentine's Day of last year. Dad made reservations a MONTH in advance. All I know was it was very expensive. I don't even dare guess.
4) What one food have you never tried and always wanted to? Why haven't you? Do you think you ever will?
Hmm... Some exotic foods. Nothing really specific though.
5) Do you have any food fetishes? (C'mon, you know you do.) Is there some strange combination you can't get enough of? Some pre-set order of eating? A way of eating a certain type of food that most other people don't share, and in fact might find bizarre in the extreme.
Food fetishes? lol Um... Not really lol
Nature
1) Share one sensory memory of your favorite season. Tell us how it smells, sounds, looks, feels or tastes.
I'll go with summer... On the beach in Washington... Smelling the sweet musty scent from the forests and the salty cool air from the ocean. The birds calling, singing their heart's content, and the waves lapping the shore. The warmth of the sun and the cool breeze off the water.
2) What's your most favorite thing about your least favorite season?
Snow. lol I hate winter but I love snow.
3) If you could change places for a short time -- a day, a week, a month -- with one type of living thing (animal, plant, etc.) what would it be and why?
A child in a third world country. I think it'd teach me to appreciate my life more.
4) What's your favorite flower? Why? Can you describe its scent?
A rose... Sweet. Like sugar and a clear river.
5) To what element do you feel most drawn? Earth? Air? Fire? Water? Why? How do you act on this attraction?
Water and fire. Which makes sense, I'm on the cusp, Scorpio/Sagittarius. I have lots of candles, and I love fountains, rivers, stream. Running water.
Friends
1) Do you/did you have friends you felt you could not do without? People whose loss would/did devastate you?
Yes. And yes.
2) Is it hard to become your friend? Why or why not?
Maybe. I'm a very emotional person and I think I can be very complicated because of that.
3) In your opinion, is friendship a responsibility, a privilege, an accident or a combination of any or all of these things?
Combo
4) Did you ever have a friend you knew you'd fall in love with if you let yourself? Did you let yourself? Either way, what happened?
Yes. I did. And I've been dating him over a year lol
5) Of all your friends, who is/was the most amusing talker? The one you could listen to for hours without ever getting bored?
The one I'm dating lol The only other "amusing" ones annoy me after a while lol
Inside your head
1) Do you have any recurring dreams? Can you share? What do you believe they mean?
Sometimes. None at the moment.
2) We all have irrational fears. What's yours? How do you try to get beyond it?
I think all my fears are rational lol I don't like spiders though. Not like a really bad fear. Unless they're big lol Then I have a major problem lol Just creepy crawly ew lol
3) What's your favorite time of day and why? Your least favorite and why?
Just before, during and after sunset. I like the change, I like the dark.
4) What's the best mode of learning for you, a textbook, or a demonstration?
I learn best from the both combined.
5) How is your sense of direction? Your sense of time? Do you feel as if you have some kind of internal anchor to this world?
Direction I'm good at. Time I SUCK at lol And um... I guess no...? Yes...? Maybe...? Ask Again Later? lol (Magic 8 Ball lol)
The end.
